The upper surface is a very soft 220gsm 100% cotton terry with a very light yet 100% waterproof polyurethane backing and Teflon treatment on the top. This protector is waterproof yet you cannot feel it, it is breathable and does not make the user hot or sweaty nor is it noisy to sleep on.
