Well Sleeping
Health needs a good night's sleep
The bedroom is a place where people spend a lot of time, so make your bedroom the cosiest place in your home.
Keep reminding yourself of this. People spend a third of their lives asleep! We need this time to maintain all the vital functions of our organism. Our sleep is not wasted time, on the contrary: sleep is an active phase of life. During this time, the body detoxifies and recharges its batteries. Restful sleep is the most important prerequisite for all physical, mental and emotional performance. Those who sleep well get more out of life!
Although sleep has been well researched, it is still a mystery in some respects. Sleeping is more than just resting with your eyes closed. Sleep has an immense influence on the entire organism. Healthy and restful sleep counteracts today's diseases of civilisation, such as back problems, tension, sleep disorders, exhaustion, high blood pressure, lack of concentration and mental illness. On the other hand, if you sleep badly or too little, you will become ill in the long term.
Therefore, make your sleep the centre of your life. Take time for your sleep and prepare for it every evening with a few rituals. Allow yourself time out - at least 6 hours, maximum 9 hours a day. You will find that you are much more relaxed and focussed afterwards. Always remember: sleep is important - for our body and our mind.
The right bed is the individual bed - with the right duvet, a good underblanket and the right pillow for you!
The duvet should be both light and warm and have a filling that meets the individual needs of each person. The following criteria are very important in the selection process: Thermal insulation: Due to the different dispositions of the cardiovascular system, each person has a different perception of warmth. This can be taken into account by the shape of the bed and the quantity and type of filling material. Moisture transport: In the course of a night, each person releases approximately the amount of a glass of beer (0.2 litres) of moisture through the skin (through sweating), some more, others less. The bed filling and also the fabric (bed cover) absorb this moisture and release it again by evaporation to the outside.
Some people still believe that the quality of a duvet should be judged by the filling weight: the heavier, the better. But that's not true at all! Because one thing is certain: the higher the quality of the filling, the lighter the duvet, with the same heat retention capacity.
Pay attention to quality! Beware of cheap offers! Cheap down and feather duvets are almost exclusively filled with unripe, young slaughtered animals from factory farming. Unfortunately, some manufacturers also fill "couch" down and feathers (old goods) and very cheap duck down. Such duvets have an extremely short service life. Therefore, pay attention to quality!
